Nashville's Chris St. Croix Proves Being Dirty Pays Off

CHICAGO, Nov. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Nashvillian Chris St. Croix is a dirty boy. That's fine by him since that makes him the proud winner of AXE's "The World's Dirtiest Film" nationwide contest. The film, which premieres online today at http://www.worldsdirtiestfilm.com/, is a compilation of produced scenes featuring David Spade and user-generated videos of guys and girls getting dirty, including St. Croix's winning video "Chick Fight."

"The World's Dirtiest Film" kicked off in September on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" when AXE Shower Gel and David Spade asked filmmakers across the country to submit their own "dirty" films for a chance to make the cut into the final short-length film. While there is absolutely no nudity, there's plenty of footage that is so dirty ... that guys will beg for a shower.

Sanyo's High-End Camcorder Boxes You In

Sometimes things just don't work out the way they're supposed to. Take, for example, this review of Sanyo'sSANYY Xacti HD 1000 digital movie camera. I brought it along with me to test under real working conditions -- at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, last month. The idea was that my producer-cinematographer Dee Robinson would shoot me with his professional Panasonic camera (with a Leica lens) -- and I would shoot him shooting me using the Sanyo HD1000. Both of us would shoot in full HD. In the Sanyo's case, that means 1920 by 1080 pixels. The Panasonic was also set at full 1080i. The plan was for Dee to edit everything together when we got home. Notice I wrote that in the past tense. That's because we couldn't edit anything together. Actually, we couldn't even see the Sanyo's video on any of our AppleAAPL Mac or Windows computers.

Ryazan Region

For a long time, the Oka River and its left tributary the Ugra were a natural defense against the threat from the steppes. The chronicles called them the Holy Virgin's sash that defended Russian soil.

The Prince of Moscow took possession of Kolomna in 1306, but for a long time the boundary between Moscow and Ryazan held firm near the city, passing just south of the present location of Shchurovo. A Moscow-Ryazan boundary post placed here at a time when provinces, territories, and regions were being reshaped has miraculously been preserved right up to the present. On one side of the post is a portrayal of a mounted St. George the Victorious (Georgy Pobedonosets); and on the other, a foot soldier, who is often seen as Prince Oleg of Ryazan (Oleg Ryazansky). This boundary post is perhaps the only remaining symbol of old Ryazan.

Nick Robinson's Newslog

I could, you may argue I should, be focusing this morning on the raw politics of losing the personal data of almost half the adult population. Somehow, though, that is not what moves me.

Sure, this is another blow to a chancellor who will never again find the soubriquet "safe pair of hands" attached to his name.

Sure, it is another sign that ministers wake up each day wondering what will happen to them rather what they will make happen.

Sure, Labour MPs are beginning to wonder whether, in the words of one I spoke to yesterday, "we are beginning to look like the Tories in the mid-90s".

However, what interests me much more than any of that is the yawning gap that has opened up between what we're told about the protection of our personal data and the reality.

Mac Bloggers Update OS X, Upgrade Apple TV, Ponder Missing iPhones

"The new version of Apple TV makes the device somewhat more appealing to the small group of people who already do a lot of video on iTunes. It's not a large group, and at this price, most of them could just as easily turn to their cable video on demand system to watch movies," James McQuivey, a vice president of research and analyst for Forrester, told MacNewsWorld.

Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Vista, left, and Rep. Brian Bilbray, R-Solana ...

I'll calling for a public debate on illegal immigration, and want to invite Ed Sifuentes, Bill Flores from El Grupo, Ruben Navarrette Jr., Ed Morones, and leaders of the local chapters of MEChA and NCLR. I would also like to invite Duncan Hunter, Brian Bilbray, and other media representative as well. In fact I challenge the NCT to put this together for the next Latino Roundtable, so that me and many other concerned Americans can confront this issue. How about it Ed, are you game?

This is a joke right? wrote on Feb 16, 2008 12:06 AM:They say it will only be a 'few bad apples?' This is a joke, right? Of course the aliens are complaining about a six month wait (while they collect welfare albeit), cause they don't want their criminal record to pop up before they get their GET IN FREE CARD! Instead, give them a get outta dodge card, don't pass go, don't collect another $200 in this further downgrading of "America".
