IN A welcome fit for the 'new queen in the sky', the world's first Airbus 380 superjumbo landed at Changi Airport at about 6.40pm on Wednesday to a water cannon salute.

Woman alleges physical assault by Cong leader

A team of the health department raided a chemist shop and seized a huge quantity of capsules, syrups and injections, stocked illegally.

Revealing this to mediapersons here today, Lehmber Singh, civil surgeon, said on an information Sanjeev Garg, drug inspector, accompanied by Dr Inderpal Singh Grover, raided the chemist shop in the Judge Nagar area of the city.

He said the chemist had stocked the drugs illegally in a room adjoining the shop.

He said 10,000 tablets of mycrolit, nitozepam, alprazolam, capsules proxivon spazmproxivon, parvenzpas, dexavon, syrups Fencydyl and Pentajocin and injections Oxitocin and pentaxocin had been illegally stocked by the chemist.

He said the chemist was selling the tablets and capsules in a loose form which could be deadly for the users as it did not mention the manufacturing and expiry dates.

Obama Denies Assuring Canada on NAFTA

The adviser, Austan Goolsbee, said his comments to those officials were misinterpreted by the author, Joseph DeMora, who works for the Canadian consulate in Chicago and attended the meeting.

In Carrollton, Texas, Obama told reporters: "Nobody reached out to the Canadians to try to assure them of anything."

Asked why he had appeared to deny a report last week that such a meeting had taken place, Obama said: "That was the information I had at the time."

In Ottawa, Prime Minister Stephen Harper disputed the contention of his political opposition that Canadian officials leaked word of the meeting to complicate Obama's chances or to favor Republican Sen. John McCain, who strongly supports NAFTA.
